Going out to spend the perfect evening in Milan.

How to spend the perfect evening in Milan?

Most places advertised on the web have a very touristic connotation so when you want to be off the beaten track you grab a map and start exploring the city you find yourself in.

In my case, I grabbed my best friend in Milan and used her as my map :))) as she’s been living in the city for the past few years.

And even so, you can’t ever get to know a place completely if you’re not a professional tour guide or a taxi driver :))))). She’s as eager as me to spot all the best and new places that the city offers.  The cool and stylish bars and the restaurants that offer delicious dishes.

So we dressed up as two lovely ladies that we are and went to explore the city. We parked the car near Corso Como, in a very safe yet expensive parking place that I recommend to be avoided. But we were wearing high heels so that was much needed.  It even had valet service to justify the price haha. :))))))

After that we went strolling on Corso Como as it’s a lovely area to walk in the evening. We were looking for a place to have an aperitivo. It was the shops that allured us in Piazza Gae Aulenti where we found The Stage.

The Stage is a place where you find a fine dining restaurant and an amazing bar. The Octavianus Bar.

We went to have a cocktail at the bar while taking a look at the restaurant.

Octavianus BarThe cocktails were amazing, we went with the recommendation of the steward, I had a champagne cocktail and my friend had one that was a mixture of tea, fruits and rum. Both delicious. The aperitivo choices are very healthy and rich in flavor. Given the perfect experience at the bar we decided to have dinner in the same place

The restaurant is definition of intimacy. The service is remarkable. The food was lovely. We had fish dishes that were extremely fresh and served with a delightful sauce. I heartily recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a place to take a date, impress someone or just experience high quality food and service.

So we had the perfect start of a Saturday evening. Now where to next? First, go pick up the car from the expensive parking lot and drive downtown.

Ceresio 7

For a weekend’s summer evening/ night  I would definitely choose a roof top terrace. So you have two options – either Ceresio 7 or Radio Roof Top bar, the second one being new in Milan.

Go for Radio Rooftop Terrace. You find it in Piazza della Republica at ME, like in London.  You need a reservation most definitely in this place as it’s new in the city and a cool place to have a drink.

You are close to Garibaldi and you can have a view over the business center of Milan. On Saturdays in this place you will find the type of atmosphere that gets you in the mood for clubbing. Very trendy.

Perfect place for a summer night out.

For the wild souls in search of adventure late at night I recommend Byblos Club. The music is very good and the place is crowded with  beautiful people. And it’s close to Radio Rooftop Terrace.Radio Rooftop Bar

Don’t forget to drink enough water to keep yourself hydrated during summer nights. 😉
